We are each unique, and are connected to life and our world in many ways. These can be marked, reflected on and celebrated at the time of our leaving.
Today, more than ever, we are free to choose all sorts of ways to mourn and also truly celebrate a life. When families really feel they can be involved, and the end result is a ceremony they are genuinely connected to, I have found that this can be a part of the healing of grief. It can also be a beautiful last gesture and work of tribute, a final gift to the loved person.
It is a real honour to help people in this way, and learning
all the different stories of lives lived is as interesting as it is a privilege. I make no judgements as to how families need to go about this passage, but will put all my resources, creativity, listening skills and care at their disposal.
I will be sensitive and compassionate working with families, and also professional in working with funeral companies, cemeteries etc. Together we will create a ceremony that that really honours the life of your loved and special person.
*I can assist those wishing help with planning their own funerals, whether they know it will be soon, or much further down the track. I can also visit care settings if required.
